About Wayzo Fashion
Who We Are
In the year 2016, in East New York, Brooklyn, Wayzo Fashion was conceptualized through the collaboration of Husband and wife duo Godwin and Sherea Ahadzi. At a time when demand and interest in African-inspired clothing began to increase, we noticed that finding pieces made from authentic African Fabrics was scarce. We decided to fill that void in our own way by creating a brand that combines traditional, authentic African fabrics/materials with the style and vibe of NYC. The name Wayzo derives from the word “Woé zo” meaning welcome in the Ewe language. This is exactly how Brooklynite Sherea felt when she visited and was introduced to Ghanaian culture by way of her Ghanaian husband Godwin and his family; WELCOMED. It is this feeling we aim to exude in all of our designs and unique pieces.
